How do I hear about your latest beer tappings and special events?
Check out our events tab on our Facebook page for announcements of special beer tappings and other events, or check us out on Twitter. Not connected to social media? Sign up for our email mailing list to receive occasional emails about major events. However, social media is the best source for the most current and detailed information.
Do You Accept Dinner Reservations?
No, sorry. Reservations are not accepted. All Seating at The Bavarian Lodge is on a walk-in basis only. Our guests are seated on a first come, first served basis. We do not seat incomplete parties during very busy dining times. (Reservations are accepted for parties of five or more on Mother's Day & Father's Day.)
How Long Will I Have to Wait to be Seated?
Our busiest times are Friday and Saturday nights between the hours of 5:00 and 8:30 pm. Average waiting times for seating during these hours is 30-45 minutes for parties of four or less. Wait times for parties of five or more can vary greatly, but may exceed one hour during peak dining times. Wait times are significantly shorter during the summer months, and longer during the fall and winter.
Can I Get There Early and Hold a Table Until the Rest of My Group Arrives?
Sorry, but it won't help to get here ahead of the rest of your group. On very busy nights, parties are seated only when everyone in the group is present and ready to sit down for dinner. This policy helps us minimize overall wait times, and maximize our seating capacity. To ensure prompt seating, make sure everyone in your group is present at the time of your arrival.
Can You accommodate Very Large Parties or Banquets?
No, Sorry. Our focus is on our dining room and pub business. We are not set up to handle banquets or large groups. 99% of our guests arrive in groups of eight or less. We’ll do our best to accommodate larger groups, but please prepare to be flexible with your seating arrangements as multiple tables will likely be required to accommodate everyone in our group.
What about Pub Crawls, After-Work "Happy Hour" Groups, or "Meet-up" Parties?
Our layout, atmosphere, and parking situation are generally not conducive to these types of events, especially during peak dining times.
Your Parking Lot is Full... Where Else Can I Park My Car?
We offer over 80 additional safe, paved, and fully lighted parking spaces in the lot directly to our west. ADDITIONAL PARKING has been leased for your convenience at Graphics Plus, 1808 Ogden Ave. You can also legally park your vehicle along the surrounding residential side streets, but we ask that you use this only if BOTH of our parking lots are full. If you must park on the residential side streets, please take note of posted parking regulation signs. Parking on Devon Ave is only permitted on the west side of the street (if you park on the east side of the street, you may be ticketed and towed.). If using street parking, we ask that you please be respectful of our neighbors. Please keep noise to a minimum and be careful not to park on lawns or block driveways and mailboxes.
Do you offer Carry-Outs?
Yes, but it's not our focus. Many of our menu items don't package or travel particularly well, and we don't take orders over the phone. If you want a carry-out, you’ll need to stop by and place your order in person with one of our friendly bartenders. We’ll cook it to order and pack it up fresh, hot, and ready to go. Please allow extra preparation & packing time during very busy times, especially on Friday & Saturday nights. A great excuse to have a beer or two while you wait, as carry-outs during busy dining room hours can take upwards of 30 minutes. Occasionally on Friday or Saturday evenings during our busy fall and winter season, we must suspend carry-out orders as our kitchen staff is working at full capacity with orders from customers already seated in the dining room.
Can you cater my special event? / Can I pick-up a large catering order?
No, Sorry! We're busy enough trying to keep up with the daily demands of the restaurant. As much as we'd love the added business, it's simply impossible for us to tackle catering orders.
Do You Sell Gift Certificates?
Yes! You can purchase them at the front desk or click HERE to go directly to our online Gift Certificate order form and we’ll mail them to your door. If ordering online, please allow 5-10 business days for your certificate to arrive at its destination.
What Forms of Payment Do You Accept?
American Express, VISA, MasterCard, Discover, and Cash. We do not accept VISA/MC Gift Cards. Ten dollar minimum on credit card transactions, please.
Is the Restaurant Child-Friendly?
Yes, but please keep in mind we designed our restaurant and pub as a venue for adults. We find that guests enjoy our restaurant and bar most when they leave small children at home with a sitter and enjoy a relaxed evening out with other adults. Parents with small children that are in a rush to get in and get out are generally disappointed with their visits here. We’re definitely not a place to come to if you’re in a rush. Small children are not allowed in our pub room. No one under 21 is allowed to be seated at the bar.
Do You Offer Live Entertainment?
No, sorry. Our establishment simply doesn't have the proper space or stage setup for live entertainment.
Is There a Dress Code?
We’re a casual restaurant and pub.
Can I Bring in My Own Wine, Beer, or Booze?
Sorry, but no. We offer an extensive beer list, wine list, and a fully stocked bar for your enjoyment during your visit. Outside food and beverages are not allowed.
Can I Bring in My Own Birthday Cake?
Yes. There is a $1 per person surcharge for the use of our flatware and china. You can bring in your own party plates and forks if you want to avoid this charge. Please bring cakes that do not require refrigeration as our coolers and freezers usually don’t have room for your cake while you enjoy dinner.
